The Key to Jannah
All
praise and gratitude are only to Allah. We praise him, and we ask him for
guidance and forgiveness.
If
it were not for guidance from Allah SWT, surely we could not be in the path of
Islam and Iman.
Whom Allah guides, no one can lead him astray, and whom He makes
astray, no one can lead him back to the right path.
Our
blessings and greetings may be bestowed upon great Prophet Muhammad SAW, also
to his friends and his beloved wives and to each of his followers, who well
followed him to the end of time.

........................................
In
this khutbah : I invite myself and all jamaah Muslim to increase our taqwa to
Allah subhanahu wataala. Today I would like to talk about THE KEY TO PARADISE.
The
key to Paradise is found in the declaration that there is nothing worthy of
worship except Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah (la ilaha illa
Allah, Muhammad ar-rasul Allah). This statement is the foundation of Islam, the
beginning of faith, the source of virtues, and the means of happiness in the
Hereafter for those who actualize its meaning.
Uthman
reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
He who died knowing that there
is no worthy of worship except Allah will enter Paradise.
Source:
Sahih Muslim 26
To
know Allah does not mean simply to be aware of His existence, as even Satan
knows that Allah exists. Rather than that we must learn how to worship Allah
with sincerity of intention (ikhlas) and conformity with the prophetic
tradition (sunnah).
Al-Bukhari
reported: It was said to Wahb bin Munabbih rahimahullah, “Is not the key to
Paradise the declaration that there is no God but Allah?” Wahb said:
Of
course, but rather every key has ridges. If you come with the correct key, the
door will be opened for you. Otherwise it will never be opened. (Book 1, Hadith
39 ; Mishkat al-Masabih 43).
Allah's
Messenger (ﷺ) said, "All my followers will enter
Paradise except those who refuse." They said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)!
Who will refuse?" He said, "Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and
whoever disobeys me is the one who refuses (to enter it)." (HR. Sahih
al-Bukhari 7280)
only 2 choice,
Allah said:
There
shall be no compulsion in the religion. The right course has become clear from
the wrong. Whoever disbelieves in false gods and believes in Allah has grasped
the most trustworthy handhold which will never break, for Allah is hearing and
knowing. Surat Al-Baqarah 2:256
Allah
said:
And
obey Allah and obey the Messenger and beware. And if you turn away - then know
that upon Our Messenger is only [the responsibility for] clear notification.
(QS. Al Maidah: 92).
Ash-Shaykh Muhammad Said Al Qohthoni explained the
seven conditions of the Syahadah.:
First, Al 'Ilmu (Knowledge) : Every person who takes
a shahadaah must know exactly what the meaning
and meaning is contained in these two sentences.
Second, Al Yaqin (believe/Certainty): Everyone who pledges these
two sentences of sahadah must believe whole heartedly without any doubt in
them. in fact, any kind of doubt is equivalent to Kufr or disbelief. We must,
in our hearts, be absolutely certain of the truth of the shahadah. Our hearts
must not be wavering in any way when we testify to the truth of, "There is
none worthy of worship except Allah." Allah describes the believers in the
Qur'an as those who have belief in Allah and then their hearts waver not.
Third, Al Qobul (Acceptance). The new shahada is
accepted by Allah SWT if it is received in total for the consequences that
accompany it with with the tongue and heart.
Fourth, Al Inqiyad (submission). The pledge of the
creed must be followed by submitting to obey its meaning. This implies the
actual physical enactment with our deeds of our shahadah. In fact, this is one
of the main meanings of the word Islam itself, "the submission to the will
and commands of Allah."
Fifth, Ash Shidq (Truthfulness). This means that when
we say the shahadah, we are saying it honestly. We actually mean it. We are not
lying when it comes to our testimony of faith. The Prophet (peace be upon his)
said, «No one bears testimony to there being no one worth of worship save
Allah, sincerely from his heart, except that Allah makes the Hell-fire
forbidden for him» [Recorded by al-Bukhari and Muslim.]
Sixth, Al Ikhlash (sincerity). The pledge of the sahadah must be
carried out with sincerity and only in the hope of the pleasure of Allah SWT.
Lastly is Al Mahabbah (love). A person who has pledged the creed
must love Allah above all and love everything in order to love Allah SWT.
he loves in accordance with the shahadah, he loves
the implications and requirements of the shahadah and he loves those who act
and strive for the sake of this shahadah. This is a necessary condition of the
shahadah.
Finally, I want to
advise myself and the Muslims to re-learn the Koran and the Sunnah and gain our
taqwa. So we become a good Muslim and muttaqin ... because Islam teaches us all
aspects of life ... And perhaps Allah will accept us and upon his blessings put
us in heaven ... Amin ya rabbal alamin.
