  السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته إِنّ الْحَمْدَ ِللهِ نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِيْنُهُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ وَنَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنْ شُرُوْرِ أَنْفُسِنَا وَسَيّئَاتِ أَعْمَالِنَا مَنْ يَهْدِهِ اللهُ فَلاَ مُضِلّ لَهُ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلاَ هَادِيَ لَهُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلهَ إِلاّ اللهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنّ مُحَمّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُهُ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أُوْصِيْكُمْ وَإِيَّايَ بِتَقْوَى اللهِ فَقَدْ فَازَ الْمُتَّقُوْنَ.   قَالَ تَعَالَى: يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ   وقَالَ تَعَالَى: يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالًا كَثِيرًا وَنِسَاءً وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءَلُونَ بِهِ وَالْأَرْحَامَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا   يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُ

  Matsuyama Islamic Culture Center (MICC) is a non-profit organization in Matsuyama that supports the welfare of Muslim community, manages annual Islamic events and doing cultural exchange between Muslims and Japanese community in Matsuyama despite of responsible for da’wah activities in Matsuyama. MICC was established by some Malaysian students together with Mr. Abu Mahdy Sulaiman Hamanaka in the year of 1981. The Muslim population in Matsuyama is growing every year, both from the population of Japanese Muslims and Muslim from various countries. The current Muslim population is about 500 people. One of the main reasons for population growth is the study opportunities promoted by Ehime University due to the many Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) collaborations with foreign universities from Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, etc. In addition, mixed or interfaith marriages between Muslims and Japanese also contributed to this population growth. History of MICC

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيْمِ Matsuyama is the capital city in Ehime Prefecture and one of the major cities in Shikoku instead of Tokushima (Tokushima Pref.), Kochi (Kochi Pref.) and Takamatsu (Kagawa). Matsuyama has population of about 520,000 people with density of 1,205/km2. This city is famously known for its onsen (温泉、hot spring in Japanese) especially Dogo Onsen (道後 温泉), believed to be the oldest hot spring bath house in Japan despite of more other historical and cultural places. MICC was established by some Malaysian students together with Mr. Abu Mahdy Sulaiman Hamanaka in the year of 1981.  MICC was held in August 1981 by Yunos, an international student from Pahang, Malaysia, and Japanese Muslim  Mr. Abu Mahdy Sulaiman Hamanaka  ( Rahimahullah ) from Matsuyama. Initially, there were only four or five Malaysian students, and they gathered at Yunus's house in Tarumi, Malaysia, and held a study session called "Usura" every Saturday night. After Mr. Yunos ret
