Become the Ambassador of Islam

 

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

إِنّ الْحَمْدَ ِللهِ نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِيْنُهُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ وَنَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنْ شُرُوْرِ أَنْفُسِنَا وَسَيّئَاتِ أَعْمَالِنَا مَنْ يَهْدِهِ اللهُ فَلاَ مُضِلّ لَهُ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلاَ هَادِيَ لَهُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلهَ إِلاّ اللهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنّ مُحَمّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُهُ

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أُوْصِيْكُمْ وَإِيَّايَ بِتَقْوَى اللهِ فَقَدْ فَازَ الْمُتَّقُوْنَ.

 قَالَ تَعَالَى:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ 

وقَالَ تَعَالَى:

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالًا كَثِيرًا وَنِسَاءً وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءَلُونَ بِهِ وَالْأَرْحَامَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا

  يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا  أَمَّا بَعْدُ

اَللَّهُمّ صَلّ وَسَلّمْ عَلى مُحَمّدٍ وَعَلى آلِهِ وِأَصْحَابِهِ وَمَنْ تَبِعَهُمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ إِلَى يَوْمِ الدّيْن

 

All praise and gratitude are only for Allah who has given us guidance and various kinds of His gifts.

If it were not for guidance from Allah SWT, surely we could not be in the path of Islam and Iman. Likewise, if it were not for the love of God and His mercy, we would certainly be busy with the world, not thinking about the obligation to worship of Allah SWT and because of Allah blessings, we are still healthy so we can do Sholatul jumuah in this room..

Our blessings and greetings may be bestowed upon our role models, our great Prophet Muhammad SAW, also to his friends and his beloved wives and to each of his followers, who well followed him to the end of time.

In this khutbah I will tell you about “Become the Ambassador of Islam”

Let's take a brief look at the glorious companions of the prophet Mus'ab ibn Umayr RA.  Mus'ab ibn Umayr was appointed the first “ambassador of Islam” and was sent to Yathrib (Medina) to prepare the city for the forthcoming Hijra after the first pledge with the ansar. With his glory of morals and knowledge of Islam he could become a pioneer of the development of Islam in Medina. After they had preached Islam, many residents of Medina were converted, including such leading men such as Sa'd ibn Mu'adh, Usayd ibn Hudayr and Sa'd ibn Ubadah. The Medinan converts were known as Ansars ("helpers").

Why was he like that? How to become an ambassador of Islam? It must have a strong belief that Islam is a noble and perfect religion. Over 1,400 years ago, Prophet Muhammad delivered Islam as a guidebook for living and a mercy to mankind. Allah Almighty revealed each verse during the lifetime of Muhammad and it was applied in real time. Muslims have a flawless example to follow. We only have to turn back to the Noble Quran and the Sunnah whenever we go astray.

Let’s start to be a good Muslim, and become ambassador of islam. How...??

Let’s listen to the tenth of hadith arbain... following:

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ طَيِّبٌ لَا يَقْبَلُ إِلَّا طَيِّبًا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ أَمَرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِمَا أَمَرَ بِهِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ فَقَالَ

Abu Huraira- may Allah bless him -  reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, O people,  “Allah the Almighty is Good and accepts only that which is good. And verily Allah has commanded the believers to do that which He has commanded the Messengers. Allah said:

{ يَا أَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوا مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَاعْمَلُوا صَالِحًا إِنِّي بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلِيمٌ }

 O messengers, eat from good things and act righteously, for I know what you do. (Q.S al-Mukminun (23):51).

وَقَالَ { يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُلُوا مِنْ طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ }

And Allah said: O you who believe, eat from good things We have provided for you. (Q.S Al Baqoroh(2):172).

Abu Huraira added:

 ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الرَّجُلَ يُطِيلُ السَّفَرَ أَشْعَثَ أَغْبَرَ يَمُدُّ يَدَيْهِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ وَمَطْعَمُهُ حَرَامٌ وَمَشْرَبُهُ حَرَامٌ وَمَلْبَسُهُ حَرَامٌ وَغُذِيَ بِالْحَرَامِ فَأَنَّى يُسْتَجَابُ لِذَلِكَ

Then, the Prophet (ṣ) mentioned a man who traveled far, becoming disheveled and dusty and he raises his hands to the sky, saying, “O Lord! O Lord!” while his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothing is unlawful, and he is nourished by the unlawful, so how can he be answered?

From this hadist and ayah.. that we know to be a good moslim start from the good thing. We only eat and drink a good thing. So if there is question why Allah forbidden us to eat pork, blood, and other... We can say muslim people only eat and drink the good thing.. because Allah SWT accepts only that which is good.

That enough??? No... like good research right input, the right process, and the right output, it will the right outcome. After we got the right input there are right processes in Islam to eat and drink in a good way. Eat and drink with the right hand, and say bismillah, don’t stand up, drink step by step, and many rules of that and we call it sunnah.. and it’s a good method.

Remember Allah only accepts the good thing depends on Allah and rasulluhu, It is not based on tradition, culture, opinions, habits, and others. It only depends on Allah and Muhammad SAW.

Furthermore, a Muslim will be reflected in his prayers, how he keeps his prayers. This is related to his good relationship with Allah SWT. A good Muslim will also be reflected in his actions and behavior. He will say only the good thing, do the good thing, be a good work, good trader, honestly, fairly, all of his activities reflect kindness..Once again the good based on God and his messenger.

If each of us learns about this noble Islamic guidance, we will become the good ambassador of Islam. Because people who do not know Islam,, will see Islam from us,, from ourselves as a Muslim. Please ... Do not vilify the image of Islam with our behavior.... if we protect the religion of Allah, then Allah will protect us.  ALLAH says in Surah Muhammad verse 7, which reads:

یَأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوۤا۟ إِن تَنصُرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ یَنصُرۡكُمۡ وَیُثَبِّتۡ أَقۡدَامَكُمۡ

Meaning: O you who have believed, if you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet.

Finally, I want to advise myself and the Muslims to re-learn the Koran and the Sunnah. So we become a good Muslim ... because Islam teaches us all aspects of life ... And perhaps Allah will accept us and upon his blessings put us in heaven ... Amin ya rabbal alamin.

 

بَارَكَ اللهُ لِيْ وَلَكُمْ فِي الْقُرْآنِ الْعَظِيْمِ، وَنَفَعَنِي وَإِيَّاكُمْ بِمَا فِيهِ مِنَ الْآيَاتَ وَالذِّكْرِ الْحَكِيم

أَقُوْلُ قَوْلِي هَذَا وَاسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ لِي وَلَكُمْ وَلِسَائِرِ المُسْلِمِيْنَ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَمِيْعُ العَلِيْمُ

 

Khutbah 2

 

الحَمْدُ للهِ رَبِّ العَالمِيْنَ وَالصَّلاَةُ وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلَى أَشْرَافِ الأَنْبِيَاءِ وَالمرْسَلِيْنَ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ أَجْمَعِيْنَ
اَمَّا بَعْدُ : فَيَااَ يُّهَاالنَّاسُ !! اِتَّقُوااللهَ تَعَالىَ. وَذَرُوالْفَوَاحِشَ مَاظَهَرَوَمَابَطَنْ. وَحَافِظُوْاعَلىَ الطَّاعَةِ وَحُضُوْرِ الْجُمْعَةِ وَالْجَمَاعَةِ. وَاعْلَمُوْااَنَّ اللهَ اَمَرَكُمْ بِأَمْرٍ بَدَأَ فِيْهِ بِنَفْسِهِ. وَثَنَّى بِمَلاَئِكَةِ قُدْسِهَِ

دعونا ننظر إلى الصديق النبيل مصعب بن عمير رضي الله عنه.

عُين مصعب بن عمير كأول "سفير للإسلام" وأُرسل إلى يثرب (المدينة المنورة) لإعداد المدينة للهجرة التي ستأتي بعد الوعد الأول مع الأنصاري. بفضل مجد الأخلاق ومعرفته بالإسلام ، يمكن أن يصبح رائدًا في تطور الإسلام في المدينة المنورة.

المسلم يأكل ويشرب الأشياء طَيِّبَاتِ وبطرق طَيِّبَاتِ. أكل وشرب بيدك اليمنى ، ويقول بسم الله ، لا تقف ، وهناك الكثير من القواعد حول ذلك ونحن نسميها السنة ... وهذه طريقة طَيِّبًا. (تذكر إِنَّ اللَّهَ طَيِّبٌ لَا يَقْبَلُ إِلَّا طَيِّبًا.

سوف ينظر المسلمون في صلواتهم ، و كيف صلواتهم. هذا يرتبط بعلاقة طَيِّبَاتِ مع الله. مسلم جيد سوف يُرى أيضا في تصرفاته وسلوكه. سيقول الأشياء طَيِّبَاتِ ، يفعل الأشياء طَيِّبَاتِ ، يكون وظائف طَيِّبَاتِ ، مهن طَيِّبٌ ، يكون صادقاً ، يكون عادلاً ، كل أنشطته الخير ، ومرة أخرى ، الخير مبني على الله ورسوله.   لنكن سفير الإسلام

 

اِنَّ اللهَ وَمَلاَئِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّوْنَ عَلىَ النَّبِىْ يَاَ يُّهَاالَّذِيْنَ آمَنُوْاصَلُّوْاعَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوْا تَسْلِيْمًا

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ. وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ

اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُسْلِمِيْنَ وَالمسْلِمَاتِ وَالمؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالمؤْمِنَاتِ الأَحْيَاءِ مِنْهُمْ وَالأَمْوَاتِ إِنَّكَ سَمِيْعٌ قَرِيْبٌ مُجِيْبُ الدَّعْوَةِ

رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ الهُدَى وَالتُّقَى وَالعَفَافَ وَالغِنَى

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

اَللَّهُمَّ أَرِنَا الْحَقَّ حَقًّا وَارْزُقْنَا اتِّبَاعَهُ، وَأَرِنَا الْبَاطِلَ باَطِلاً وَارْزُقْنَا اجْتِنَابَهُ.

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُوْنَ، وَسَلاَمٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِيْنَ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ.
عِبَادَ اللهِ، إِنَّ اللهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ بِالْعَدْلِ وَاْلإِحْسَانِ وَإِيتَآئِ ذِي الْقُرْبَى وَيَنْهَى عَنِ الْفَحْشَآءِ وَالْمُنكَرِ وَالْبَغْيِ يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُوْنَ. فَاذْكُرُوا اللهَ الْعَظِيْمَ يَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاسْأَلُوْهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ يُعْطِكُمْ وَلَذِكْرُ اللهِ أَكْبَرُ    ..
